Point-of-care (POC) diagnostics, defined as diagnostics at or near the site of patient care, has recently gained increased popularity due to its quicker turnaround and comparable accuracy to standard laboratory testing. It enables fast clinical decision-making, leading to improved clinical outcome and patient service. It can also be instrumental in reducing hospital admissions.
The Collection Point-of-care diagnostics welcomes submissions on the development, novel applications and/or major improvements of POC diagnostic devices. This includes, but is not limited to, lateral flow testing, immunoassays and molecular POC testing.
In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal SDG 3, which seeks to ensure health and well-being for all, this collection emphasizes the importance of improving healthcare accessibility, enabling early disease detection, and enhancing the overall quality of healthcare delivery.
