Global population growth poses many challenges. As highlighted in a recent article in Nature, it is imperative to balance the environmental impacts of agriculture with delivering sustainable food production in both the developed and developing world.
Headed by Malcolm Elliott (Founding Director of The Norman Borlaug Institute for Global Food Security), Molly Jahn (University of Madison-Wisconsin) and Magdy Madkour (Ain Shams University) as Editors-in-Chief, the journal has an eminent international Advisory and Editorial Board whose expertise cover the broad range of topics, from basic science to informed government policy, included in the journal.
Focusing on research that informs more sustainable agriculture and food systems that address food and nutritional insecurity, Agriculture & Food Security welcomes submissions from all relevant academic disciplines, including agricultural, ecological, environmental, nutritional, and socio-economic sciences, public health and policy.
Further information about Agriculture & Food Security is available on the journal website, where you can register for updates or submit your article. Alternatively, the editorial office are on hand to answer any specific questions you have about this exciting new venture.
