As a nicely timed followup to the previous post about Sam’s sponsored run in a BioMed Central T-Shirt,  Cancer Research UK today became the most recent of the UK PubMed Central funder group to announce its official open access policy.

Like the other UK PMC funders, Cancer Research UK will from June 1st 2007 require that grant recipients (and researchers at its own institutes) deposit copies of any resulting work published in the UK PubMed Central open access archive.

This is great news for open access to biomedical research in the UK.
