Malaria – the big push towards eliminating a killer

Today is World Malaria Day – a day when we can look back with pride on the progress research has made towards eliminating a disease that has been plaguing humankind for millennia. But it’s certainly not a day for resting on our laurels – there’s still much we need to do and new obstacles, such as drug and insecticide resistance, to overcome.

‘Investing in the future’ is the theme for today, and investing in innovation could be the key to beating the disease. To mark World Malaria Day, and show our support for ‘The Big Push‘, we’ve put together the infographic below to highlight the global health burden of malaria, what is happening now to fight the disease and the innovative concepts and technology that could help drive our future efforts to combating it.
