Sandra (Sandy) Knapp is a plant taxonomist at the Natural History Museum in London, where she works on the phylogeny and evolution of the nightshade family, Solanaceae. Her work depends upon collections, both in the field and in herbaria. She is on the Editorial Board of BMC Evolutionary Biology, where she has published on biogeography and evolution.
