BioMed Central would like to congratulate Kuan-Teh Jeang, Editor-in-Chief of Retrovirology, on receiving the 2007 Distinguished Research Career Award from Ohio State University Center for Retrovirus Research.
Dr Jeang is section head of Molecular Virology, at the NIAID, National Institutes of Health and has made fundamental discoveries of retrovirus-host interactions that contribute to cancer and AIDS.
As part of the award presentation at Ohio State in April, Dr Jeang gave a lecture entitled “HTLV-1, Adult T-cell Leukemia, and Mechanisms of Cellular Transformation.” Dr Jeang is pictured accepting his award.
Dr Jeang launched Retrovirology with BioMed Central in February 2004. Retrovirology is an open access, online journal that publishes stringently peer-reviewed, high-impact articles on basic retrovirus research. The journal has an unofficial Impact Factor of 4.32.
