W. David Hong
W. David Hong received his B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Fudan University (Shanghai, China) and Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry at the University of Liverpool. Since then, he started work as a medicinal chemist in the areas of infectious diseases drug discovery, including antimalarials, anti-TBs and anthelmintics, and insecticide development. He is currently holding a role as the scientific team leader in an anti-Wolbachia macrofilaricidal drug discovery and development programme in the University of Liverpool.
