Torie Comeaux Plowden is double board certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI). She has clinical interests in health care disparities, fibroids and sexual health and is also active in clinical and epidemiologic research. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Howard University and holds a medical degree and a Master of Public Health degree from the George Washington University. Dr. Plowden serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army and cares for active duty military members and their dependents. She is the Chief of the Department of Ob/Gyn at Womack Army Medical Center. She is a wife and mother of four. Additionally, she is heavily involved in community service and started the Michael Shane Plowden Jr Loving Legacy Foundation in 2014 in memory of her oldest son.
