Susanne Zajitschek is an evolutionary biologist with a focus on behavioural ecology, and specific interests in sexual selection. She conducted this study during a postdoc with Simone Immler at Uppsala University.

Simone Immler is an evolutionary biologist with a particular interest in the causes and consequences of sexual reproduction. One of her key research projects investigates the role of non-genetic information transferred through sperm from the father to their offspring.
