Sanjana Ashok, from St George’s, University of London, is currently in her first year of clinical medicine. Last year, she completed an intercalated BSc (Hons) in Medical Genomics, sparking an interest in rare disease research. She is currently the treasurer for the M4RD society at her university and together with the rest of committee, she hopes to spread awareness of rare disease experiences amongst the medical community. Her future aspirations are currently too volatile to be established in writing, but she continues to keep an open mind and learn as much as she can from placements and teaching.
