Lauren Castro is a PhD student in the Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior Program at The University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on how population-level evolutionary and host dynamics influences the availability and quality of infectious disease surveillance data for public health interventions.
Spencer Fox (@foxandtheflu) is a PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin, whose research focuses on statistical and computational methods for understanding emerging infectious diseases. Lauren Ancel Meyers (@meyerslab) is a Professor of Integrative Biology at The University of Texas at Austin. Trained as a mathematical biologist at Harvard and Stanford Universities, she is known for her pioneering work in developing powerful computational methods for detecting, forecasting, and controlling infectious disease outbreaks.
