Rachel Heylen
Rachel is a final year Chemistry PhD student at the University of Bath. She and Dr June Mercer-Chalmers are members of the Jenkins Group. Her PhD is focused on the Urease enzyme and the effect it has on patients with long-term indwelling urinary catheters. Rachel helped run the Urinostics trial and carried out the laboratory experimentation for the trial. June was the project manager and trial manager for the Urinostics trial. June has extensive experience in project management in the aerospace and healthcare industries. She has a life science degree, a PhD in physical chemistry and an MBA as well as a diploma in clinical trials management.
