Nancy De Briyne is a diplomate of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioral Medicine, and is currently the Deputy Executive Director of the Federation of Veterinarians in Europe (FVE), where she is specifically responsible for dossiers in fields of animal welfare, veterinary medicines, education and communication. She studied veterinary medicine in Ghent and has previously worked as a veterinary practitioner in both Belgium and the UK.
