Dr Michael Head
Dr Michael Head is a Senior Research Fellow in infectious diseases in the Global Health Research Institute at the University of Southampton. He received his PhD from the University of Amsterdam and previously studied epidemiology (postgraduate) and biomedical sciences (undergraduate). His research focuses on the distribution of investments for health research, and how funding trends compare to the global burden of disease. He is a STEM Ambassador, previously spent 11 years at UCL, and is a current member of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
