Federica Giordani
Federica is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Glasgow’s Wellcome Centre for Molecular Parasitology. She mainly works on drug discovery projects aimed at identifying potential novel medicines for some of the most neglected parasitic diseases, in particular trypanosomiasis and leishmaniasis. Federica’s current research focuses on the development of new treatments for animal African trypanosomiasis, a major livestock disease crippling agricultural development in sub-Saharan Africa.
