My scientific work focuses on (1) enhancing personalized management, mainly by using (network) meta-analysis and prognostic modeling, (2) evaluation of innovations, and innovation of evaluations of health care innovations (e.g. diagnostic devices, apps) through my involvement in The Health care INnovation Center (THINC.) at the Julius Center for Health Sciences and Primary Care, and (3) investigation of industry involvement and redundancy in (network) meta-analysis.

My scientific work focuses on methodological, empirical, and applied research on the integration of evidence and large-scale evidence. I am particularly interested in developing and appraising the strengths and weaknesses of analytical methods and study designs and ways of accumulating and integrating information in ways that reduce bias and improve research efficiency.
