This year the ISRCTN registry – the UK’s primary clinical trials registry – is 20 years old. For ISRCTN20, Marc Taylor, chair of the not-for-profit owner of the registry, reminds us how it was set up, and poses questions about its future.
In this blog, Database Manager Claire Veryard describes recent improvements to the ISRCTN registry and developments that are underway. The first ISRCTN numbers were issued in 2000, when the registry was called the metaRegister of Controlled Trials (mRCT), therefore we are celebrating 20 years of ISRCTN in 2020.
