Today marks the launch of Annals of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the first Korean society journal to be published by BioMed Central. It is the official journal of the Korean Society of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (KSOEM) and is the successor of Korean Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Annals of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AOEM), edited by Professor Sang Baek Ko and supported by an expert editorial board,  is an open access, peer-reviewed, online journal that considers original contributions related to the field of occupational and environmental medicine.

“It is vitally important that occupational and environmental medicine researchers and professionals have an international forum through which they can share their work and experiences,” noted Professor Yangho Kim, the President of KSOEM, in his congratulatory message,  “especially when such information could help save or improve lives.”

AOEM is aimed at clinicians and researchers in the wide-ranging discipline of occupational and environmental medicine. The journal covers topics relating to the interactions between work and health, including, subjects like occupational and environmental epidemiology, toxicology, hygiene, diagnosis & treatment of diseases, management, organization and policy.
