Nicola is a Senior Editor for the BMC Series. Before joining BioMed Central in March 2021, Nicola was a Senior Editor at PLOS ONE in the Life Sciences team and was a News and Views Intern at the Journal of Experimental Biology. She holds a Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Bath, UK, with year-long research project at Dartmouth College, USA, investigating cell cycle regulation in budding yeast. She holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge where she worked on a chromatin associated protein and its role in gene regulation at the Babraham Institute. In joining the BMC Series Nicola looks forward to continuing to champion for Open Science communication and publishing.
