In the second of her series of posts, guest blogger Karishma Kaushik tells us her thoughts on returning to India to fulfill her career as a physician-scientist.
Karishma Kaushik
Karishma earned her medical degree and completed a residency in clinical microbiology in India. She recently completed her PhD in molecular genetics and microbiology at the University of Texas at Austin. She aims to lead her own research group that studies microbes and infections relevant to India and other tropical parts of the world.
