Heinz Mechling
Heinz Mechling is Professor emeritus of Movement- and Sport Gerontology at the German Sport University (GSU), Cologne Germany. He is founder and former director of the Institute for Movement- and Sport Gerontology (IBuSG). He developed and instituted the MA-program for ‘Movement- and Sport Gerontology’ His areas of research are: Physical fitness, test development, physical activity and cognitive functioning in old age, especially related to dementia.
