Gerald Mboowa

Gerald Mboowa, PhD, is a Bioinformatics Implementation Science Expert at the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) and a researcher at the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI), Makerere University. He specializes in supporting national public health institutions to utilize DNA sequencing technologies and computational tools in disease outbreak investigations, pathogen characterization as well antimicrobial resistance surveillance.
