Armand is a microbiologist by training and working in the field of molecular biology, particularly forest genomics, for the past 20 years. His research program centres in understanding the signalisation and molecular mechanisms of environmental responses in trees. He is particularly interested in the molecular dynamics of tree-microbe interactions using poplar as a model species.
