About this blog

BMC On Society showcases illuminating research in the broad remit of social sciences, education, data & network science, economics, population studies, philosophy, behavioural science, humanitarianism, and any research with social impact that changes lives.

All content comes from our growing multidisciplinary portfolio of fully Open Access journals, which range from Life Sciences, Society and Policy to Measurement Instruments in the Social Sciences. The focus is on evidence-based research with strong societal implications.

As well as writing about the research we publish, we also feature discussions on conferences, insights into journal developments, and commentary on news in the field.
