Electrocuting mosquitoes: a new hope for monitoring dengue vectors?

The Mosquito Electrocuting Trap (MET) for collection of mosquito populations that transmit dengue virus was recently tested for the first time. Potentially, this could improve the ability to determine exposure risk to infected bites and increase the effectiveness of disease prevention programs.
