Anita Marinelli

Anita completed a PhD in microbiology and immunology at Uniformed Services University in Bethesda MD, United States, and afterwards she was a postdoctoral fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA, United States. Her research focused on the microbiome and the immune responses to bacterial infection in the context of female reproductive health. She joined BioMed Central in 2016, and is an Assistant Editor for BMC Medicine.
