Dr Sotiris Vardoulakis is the Head of the Environmental Change Department at Public Health England and an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Exeter. He studied physics in Athens and Madrid, environmental technology at Imperial College London, and carried out his PhD research on air pollution in Paris. His work focuses on climate-environment-health interactions and sustainable transport in urban areas.
In 2013 he co-founded and currently co-chairs the Healthy-Polis International Consortium for Urban Environmental Health and Sustainability, which aims to promote inter-disciplinary research collaboration on sustainable urban environments. For more information visit www.healthy-polis.org
