On this World Prematurity Day, I look back on my years as a neonatal nurse, when I experienced first-hand the challenges of caring for sick and premature newborns and the impact this has on families. I also understand the reality of the challenges to delivering quality care and how this is shaped by the health systems in which you are working.
BMC Public Health today published research showing that the amount of smoking shown in US films is less than that in European or Latin American films. We asked the public health charity, Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), for their thoughts on smoking imagery in films. Amanda Sandford explains more here.
