Prof. Peter Newman, Chris McEntee & Jan Margulies

Professor Peter Newman (pictured) is the Editor-in-Chief of Sustainable Earth and Professor of Sustainability at Curtin University, Australia. He has sat on the Board of Infrastructure Australia and is a lead author for Transport on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). He has written 20 books on sustainability, has been an advisor on several governmental sustainability programs and in 2014 he was awarded an Order of Australia for his contributions to urban design and sustainable transport.

Chris started his publishing career in 2015 when he joined BMC, after studying an integrated Bachelor and Master’s degree in Marine Biology at the University of Southampton. His experience in a range of environmental issues and concepts now assists him in his role as a Journal Development Editor looking after a portfolio of Environmental Science journals.

Jan joined Springer Nature in 2014. He has a Bachelor and Master‘s degree in geoscience and is a development editor for open access journals in geoscience and energy.
