Sue Shea has a background in psychology and research into psychosocial aspects of chronic disorders. She has a strong interest in the concept of compassionate care, and since 2010 has been involved in a number of initiatives in this field including various related publications, development of courses, symposium organisation, and involvement in research. Sue is also lead editor of a book entitled: ‘Providing Compassionate Healthcare’.
She works partly from Greece in collaboration with the University of Crete, Clinic of Social and Family Medicine, and partly from the UK with Middlesex University London.
