Dr Lystad is a Research Fellow in the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Macquarie University. He is an injury epidemiologist with a particular interest in traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, paediatric trauma, sports injuries, and combat sports. He has experience conducting large population-based studies using administrative data collections and record linkage to investigate health outcomes following injury and to guide improvements in health service delivery and health policy.
