Piroska received her Ph.D. from Attila József University in Szeged, Hungary. She did her postdoctoral work on genomic imprinting at the Beckman Research Institute, City of Hope Cancer Center in Duarte, California. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Center for Epigenetics at Van Andel Research Institute in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
