Associate Professor Phaik Yeong Cheah, from University of Oxford, is a member of the GFBR Steering Committee. She is bioethicist and the coordinator of the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit Data Access Committee.

Adrienne Hunt is a freelancer who provides the secretariat for the GFBR. She previously worked in Wellcome's Global Policy Team and was Secretary to the UK Biobank Ethics and Governance Council. She has a background in science and worked on the Human Genome Project.
