Patrick M Honore, MD, PhD is Senior Staff Member,Intensivist-Nephrologist, Head of Clinicsand co-Director of Clinical Research in the Intensive Care Department of the University Hospital Brussels. He is Associate Professor of Internal and Critical Care Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Belgium. His fields of interest and research include sepsis ,critical care nephrology andextracorporeal therapiesin the critically ill patient.
Herbert Spapen, MD, PhD is Senior Staff Member,Intensivist-Internist, Head of Unit and Director of Clinical Research in the Intensive Care Department of the University Hospital Brussels. He is Associate Professor of Internal and Critical Care Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Belgium. His fields of interest and research include sepsis, mechanisms of organ failure, and prevention and treatment of severe infections in the critically ill patient.
