Linda L. Emmanuel & Joshua Hauser

Linda L. Emanuel is the Buehler Professor of Geriatric Medicine and director of the Buehler Center on Aging, Health & Society at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Emanuel is also the founder and principal of the national Education in Palliative and End-of-life Care (EPEC) Program and its adaptations. She is recognized as a national expert in curriculum design and implementation for all medical disciplines. She is the senior vice president for research and education at the HealthCare Chaplaincy.

Joshua Hauser is Assistant Professor Medicine and Palliative Care at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine, where he also serves as Fellowship Director in Palliative Medicine. Dr. Hauser is a former member and chairman of an NIH study section on research ethics, co-chair or the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities program committee and chairman of its palliative care affinity group and recent Chair of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) ethics committee.
