Jan Lexell is professor of rehabilitation medicine at Lund University and senior consultant in neurorehabilitation at Skåne University Hospital in Lund. He is the Chief Medical Officer of the Swedish Paralympic Team and will take part in the upcoming Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is also member of the Medical Committee of the International Paralympic Committee. His research focuses on rehabilitation medicine aspects, in particular physical activity and sports, in people with neurological disabilities.
Kristina Fagher is a PhD-student at Lund University in the project “The Sports-Related Injuries and Illnesses in Paralympic Sport Study”.She is a certified Sports Physiotherapist with a master degree in sports medicine and works clinically with a broad spectrum of athletes. She is also a physiotherapist in the Swedish Paralympic Team. During the Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro she will be a Physiotherapist in the Medical Service of the games.
