Dr Emma Smith
Emma studied biochemistry at Imperial College London, stayed on a few more years to complete a PhD in immunology, then finished her days in the laboratory with a post-doctoral position at The Institute of Cancer Research. Her first job in the world of science communications was at Breast Cancer Now, and she made the move to Cancer Research UK in 2012. She now works in the Science Communications team, describing the work of the charity to a wide audience.
