Dr. Patricia Kissinger is a Professor of Epidemiology at the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She has conducted numerous randomized trials on the topic of expedited partner treatment (EPT) and has published several dozen peer reviewed papers on the topic.She served as expert advisor for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Expedited Partner Treatment Consultation and the STD treatment Guidelines and received the NCHHSTP 2006 Excellence in Innovation Award for work in Expedited Partner Therapy.She presently has an NIH R01 to examine the effect of conducting community STD screening for asymptomatic young men, providing expedited treatment to infected men and their sexual partners, on the rates of STDs in the general population of women
