Emmanuel Montassier & Dan Knights

Emmanuel Montassier is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Nantes, France. His research focuses on the effect of chemotherapy and antibiotics on the intestinal microbiome and on the relationship between antibiotics, antibacterial resistance and the intestinal microbiome in human and animal models.

Professor Knights develops computational methods for doing precision medicine with gut bacteria, and he applies those methods to study human disease. In his multidisciplinary research lab Knights combines expertise in data mining and biology to advance detection and treatment of microbiota-related disease in children and adults, and non-human primates.
