We are pleased to welcome Professor Victor Garcia-Martinez to the Retrovirology Editorial Team as an Associate Editor. Victor Garcia-Martinez is Professor of Medicine at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. His major contributions to the virology field include his work on humanized mouse models of human-specific viruses such as EBV, HIV, HHV-8 and dengue virus. The work of his laboratory in creating these novel animal models which capture the key aspects of infection by these viruses, is invaluable to the retrovirology community and the wider virology community in order to evaluate novel therapeutic interventions. Professor Garcia-Martinez brings a wealth of specialist knowledge to the Retrovirology team, and we greatly look forward to working with him.
