Open Repository and OR Lite: ALA MidWinter Review

Open Repository Account Sales Manager Claire Bundy writes:

“I had the pleasure, of recently attending the ALA Midwinter 2014 conference in Philadelphia, from where we operated an integrated BioMed Central booth. As integral parts of BioMed Central, both Open Repository and Papers ran workshops and provided numerous demonstrations of both services to a wide variety of interested institutions.

Additionally, as part of our attendance at ALA MidWinter 2014, Open Repository ran a workshop entitled: “Big Impact, Small Budget”.  It was a well attended and interactive session, addressing how to gain maximum impact from limited budgets and how institutes can still implement an enhanced, DSpace, hosted repository service at a very low cost.

OR Lite, the new service from Open Repository, was very well received and the expressed interest means a very exciting year ahead for the team. For small and emerging institutions, OR Lite can help you launch an effective repository cheaply and quickly.

Finally, we would like to say a big thank you to all who came to discuss Open Repository and Open Repository Lite”.
