The awards were presented at a dinner and ceremony incorporating a
highly successful, charitable silent auction in aid of the Canadian
Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Foundation
, which is dedicated to funding
research into allergic disease as well as educating health care
professionals, patients and the public about advances in the field.

Both Dr Watson and Dr Kim have also made a significant contribution to
the recent supplement “Practical Guide for Allergy and Immunology in
Canada
” published in AACI. As stated in the introduction to the
supplement, this collection of review articles aims to “provide medical
students, medical residents, primary-care practitioners and other
healthcare professionals with a comprehensive, yet easy-to-follow,
series of articles on all of the common conditions we deal with in the
field of allergy and immunology”.
