Paul Adepoju is a PhD candidate of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria where he is completing a doctorate in cell biology and genetics with interest in understanding host response to infectious diseases (especially tuberculosis). He holds a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science which is why he has developed interest in using cell biology and genetics techniques to answer some scientific questions that could help in better understanding disease processes and introduce new control approaches that leverage on the host’s immune response. Paul is also a science communication specialist with contents published in top outlets including The Lancet, British Medical Journal, Nature Medicine, Quartz, Devex, CNN and several others.
