Dirk Vordermark & Stephen Povoski

Dirk Vordermark is a clinical radiation oncologist and Chairman of the Dept. of Radiation Oncology Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. His research focuses on the treatment resistance of hypoxic tumor cells, clinical oncology with special interests in brain tumors, lung cancer, prostate cancer and lymphoma as well as patient-reported outcomes including quality of life during and after cancer therapy. He has been with BMC Cancer as an associate editor since 2001 and as a section editor since 2009.

Stephen Povoski is a Surgical Oncologist at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute and Comprehensive Cancer Center of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. His clinical research interests are primarily focused upon the development of innovative strategies for perioperative and intraoperative tumor detection and tumor imaging, as well as the development of tumor-directed surgical and non-surgical therapeutic interventions using various molecular targeting agents.Dr. Povoski joined the BMC Cancer Editorial Board in December 2012
