Dr Catherine Walshe
Dr Catherine Walshe is currently Reader in Palliative Care and Director of the International Observatory on End of Life Care at Lancaster University. Catherine’s research explores issues of primary palliative care, the organisation of palliative care services, and symptom control. Current studies focus on the role of volunteers in end of life care, including two trials exploring the effect of befriending services and peer mentors.
