Alexis Battista is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Graduate Programs in Health Professions Education at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences where she teaches courses on simulation-based learning and qualitative and mixed method research design. Her research and evaluation focuses on, a) understanding how simulation-based learning supports learning, b) examining faculty instructional practices, and c) simulation-based research and evaluation methods.
